The Development Process

Once we receive your subscription we will begin working with you on your site. Each artist's requirements vary so each website is unique. It can take a week or a month to build your site depending on how quickly content is provided to us and the complexity of the design.

Our first step is to have you complete a questionnaire which will help us understand your requirements. We will email you a detailed form driven questionnaire once we receive your subscription. This will help us set up an initial site outline of page links and flow. At this stage we will also register or transfer your unique domain name into our system.

Once the site requirements and outline are completed we will move to the asset acquisition stage. This is where you will need to provide us with images of your work and all text that will go into the site. The form driven questionnaire will help this process. We can help you scan and or get professional professional images made of your artwork. Please check the archive section of this website for a list of those services. If you need help with copy writing we also have contacts which can help with that. Overall we have every resource available to build a professional site for you.

We will work with you to set up an email address for you or several if needed. We can set up a form driven contact page if you like. Since each site is unique, just let us know what you need.

Based on the style of your work, your input, we will take the site outline, all images, and provide you with a design/mock of the site. Once we review, revise, and you approve the design, we will then move to the code stage. It will take about a week to write, test, and launch the website live on the internet. We will provide you a temp link where you can check on the build progress.

Blog and Storet

Having a blog on your site is a great way to keep you clients or fans regularly updated on your work. It is a place where you can post daily sketches and projects in development. Whatever you want. It's easy to maintain a blog and it can be fun. We can link any blog software that you desire. Just let us know. We use blogger and find it to be easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.

For your store. We can guide you through a number of solutions. There are many ways to handle e-commerce on the internet. There are store like services out there that we can link into your side. We can help you set up a merchant account. We can use Paypal if you like. Each artist will have their own preferences and requirements. We've done it all so let's talk about it during the site development process.

Website updates and maintenance

Once the new website is completed you will most likely have new images or copy additions as time goes on. We will maintain your site, add picture, and copy at any time. Just email us your change/update request or use our change/update request online form. We will add them to your site as soon as possible. There is no charge for the updates as long as they fall into the plan limits. The plan limits are very generous but If you fall outside of those limits, we will work with you to make the updates as economical as possible.

Website statistics

We will provide you with a detailed statistic link to your site. At any time you will be able to see who visited your site, where they came from, and what they looked at. This is essential information for marketing and sales.

There are a number of online website solutions and many designers to choose from. Only a few are truly passionate about art and even less of those are artists themselves.
